
A beautiful film that nobody watches past second three is an expensive screensaver. Conversion-shaped video is planned backwards from the platform it will live on.
Shoot for the crop
The same shoot has to deliver a 16:9 hero film and a 9:16 reel. Framing with safe zones on set costs nothing; re-shooting because the subject's head is cropped costs a day.
Sound is half the picture
Most feeds autoplay muted, so the cut has to work silently — but the moment a viewer unmutes, bad audio loses them instantly. Plan captions and clean sound from the storyboard, not the edit.
